Intuitive wood sculpting

This course takes place in our sculpture pavilion, as we want to work on medium-sized pieces of wood. The focus is on free, intuitive work with wood. Without a fixed template or based on a sketch, you develop your own form and discover the possibilities hidden in the material. You learn to let the material guide you, to trust your perception and to find your own way. Safe handling of the most important sculpting tools and basic working techniques are taught – regardless of prior knowledge.
Together we will find a suitable piece of wood, preferably wild wood with naturally grown shapes, as the starting point for your sculpture (you are also welcome to bring your own wood).
