Beginners and advanced users
If you don't see things from just one perspective
As a beginner, you will benefit from the fact that this course is not about perfect carving technique, but about getting to grips with the material wood, seeing the grain, noticing sapwood and knots and incorporating these into the workpiece. This will develop your carving skills in an entertaining way. This approach is also a challenge for advanced carvers. In the course of the work, the situation changes again and again and the aim is to find the best possible further processing in response to a new situation. This allows you to deepen your knowledge of wood as a material and further develop your skills, imagination and flexibility.
- Booked course
- All necessary tools
- Certificate of completion
- Final dinner on Friday evening (included in weekly courses)
- Afternoon coffee / tea
- Seminar drinks
- Lunch menu incl. drinks buffet
- Accompanying theory lessons (Monday - Friday)
The work is not based on a model, so it is not yet clear at the beginning what kind of carving will ultimately emerge from the block of wood. This emerges in the course of the work.
