When you see things from more than one angle
As a beginner, you will benefit from the fact that this class is not about perfect carving technique, but about getting into the material of wood, seeing the grain, noticing sapwood and knots, and incorporating them into the piece. This will develop your carving skills in an entertaining way. For advanced carvers, this approach is also challenging. In the course of the work the situation changes again and again and the goal is to find the best possible further processing on a newly occurred situation. In this way you can deepen your knowledge of the material wood and develop your skills and imagination or flexibility.

It is not worked according to a model, so that at the beginning it is not yet certain what will be the block of wood will ultimately turn into a carving. That results in the course of the work.
