Chainsaw course – carving a totem pole
Persons with sculptural knowledge and some experience with the chainsaw
In this course, the large-format work with the chainsaw is used to dedicate oneself to a theme full of closeness to nature and symbolism: the totem culture of the indigenous peoples. Based on your ideas and against the background of traditional forms, a design with appropriate stylizations will be developed. The rough form is worked out with a chain saw, your totem is fine-tuned with an angle grinder and a carving iron and finished with the painting. Thus a wooden memorial of approx. 2 m height and 40 cm diameter is created as individual decoration for your own garden!
Bring your ideas, drawings or pictures for the design of the totem to the course! The course takes place in our sculpture pavilion.
