In this versatile weekly course, you have the opportunity to choose between two fascinating topics:

Silhouette sculptures:
Following a sketch, you will cut out the rough outline of your sculpture from wooden planks or boards. The surface is worked with a chainsaw and carving iron, using relief carving techniques. You create impressive objects for gardens, fences or interiors, which can be naturalistic or abstract (people, animals, ornaments, florals) depending on your taste and style.

Large sculptures in wood:
The rough shape of your 80 to 120 cm sculpture is first carved out with a chainsaw. Billets, large carving irons, rasps and sanding tools are then used for further processing. You are welcome to bring your own wood and tools, if available.

Important information:

You can choose between the two topics this week, then concentrate entirely on one, or combine the two. The course takes place in our sculpture pavilion. Please bring appropriate work clothes depending on the season.</p
