Efficient woodturning with Swiss stone pine
The course is aimed at pine wood enthusiasts with basic woodturning skills. Explore new techniques and approaches to working with this unique wood!
This workshop focuses on Swiss stone pine wood. The unique structures and the unmistakable smell are what make this wood so fascinating. Each participant will receive a Swiss stone pine plank measuring approx. 100x35x10 cm. Using this, our instructor Stefan Stork will explain how to process it in a way that conserves resources and makes optimum use of special features such as knots. The focus of the course is on the economical and targeted use of the material in order to turn a variety of objects, from bowls to miniatures. The natural growth of the wood and its knots are taken into account in the design and artfully integrated.
